Wow, What a Week!

Of course we realize that we didn't feel the full wrath of Hurricane Ike, but we certainly had some high wind.  Here's some photos of what happened.

Due to the wind, we were without power from Sunday at 5pm until Friday at 3pm.  The kids will have some great photos of playing in the dark on their blogs, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites here.

Clay spent the night since there was no school until Thursday.  Here's their mega Monopoly game!

On Tuesday, the "power-outage gang" went to see Space Chimps.  Here they are afterwards playing 20 questions on the stairwell.

On Wednesday, still no school, still no power, Shelia came over to play a little Monopoly too.  Here are the girls using glow-in-the-dark necklaces to shed some light on the game.

The Adam Carter Memorial Fund

A memorial fund was set up when my cousin went to be with our Lord in Heaven. The funds are donated to The Westfall Education Foundation in honor of him. Feel free to make a donation of any amount and I'll be sure the fund receives your donation.
